BIOGRAPHY:
Theo Epstein was born in Upper West Side of New York December 29, 1973, son of Leslie and Ilene Epstein. He was raised a few miles from Fenway Park in Brookline where he graduated from Brookline H.S. in 1991. He played baseball for the Warriors and dreamed of working for the Red Sox. Theo has a twin brother, Paul Epstein. His parents were strict disciplinarians. Theo and His twin brother Paul were allowed to watch T.V. and for every minute they watched T.V. they had to match that time reading a book. Although he played baseball and soccer in H.S. he was much more than a jock.

“The excitement level will be off the charts. You'll see a lot of guys running to the ballpark. I might jog.” ….. Terry FranconaTerry Francona has survived enormous criticism about his managerial style, successes and mistakes. Many folks claim that the Red Sox won despite Terry Francona. Is that really true? In my opinion, after having watched Terry Francona these past 4 years and having read considerable opinions and observations by others, Terry Francona rises to the level of the top 5 managers in MLB. To deny that is to deny the facts. |

Just who is the man that resides in Methuen, MA with his wife and daughter and works as the hitting coach for the Boston Red Sox? Why did the Red Sox hire him when he had just been fired for seemingly failing as hitting coach for the Sand Diego Padres? Dave Magadan was released from the Padres organization as their hitting coach due to an NL-low .252 batting average. |

Farrell found safety netCareer in fishing hit an early snagBy Gordon Edes, Globe Staff | October 12, 2007
Tom Farrell, lobsterman and minor league ballplayer, gave his son John the sea and he gave him baseball. The sea was a gift that slipped out of their hands, run aground by a dream father and son could not sustain."We couldn't rub two nickels together," John Farrell said of a family business that grew too fast, then came crashing down, "but we always ate lobster." |

My First Trip To Fenway Park |

Written by Bo Sox Fan 1950

Saturday, 19 May 2007 |
It was the summer of 1950. Baseball season, and my team, The Boston Braves, had recently left town for the climes of Milwaukee. Go figure. I felt betrayed. Well, I felt betrayed as much as a 6-year-old can feel betrayed. I was sad, too. |
